Meet Cigna’s On-Site Reps and Answer Cigna's Calls

Through the Parkland Employee Health Plan, Cigna’s nurse health coach and client service partner are on-site to assist you. To schedule a health coaching session or request Cigna assistance, call 469-419-3000 (ext. 7-3000). You can meet with them in the Moody Outpatient Center (MOC) or virtually. Cigna may also call you directly. Learn why.

Precertification

To help you determine if the services you receive are a covered benefit, Cigna performs precertification and provides pre-authorization on certain services.

MDLIVE: Anytime, Anywhere Care

You and your covered dependents can use the MDLIVE benefit if you’re enrolled in the PEHP.

  • If you’re a PPO participant, you’ll pay a $25 copay for each MDLIVE visit.
  • If you’re an HDHP participant, you’ll pay a $25 copay per visit after you meet the deductible.

24/7 via phone, video or mobile app, talk to a U.S. board-certified doctor who can answer your questions, make a diagnosis and even prescribe basic medications (subject to availability by state). You can get treatment for non-emergency urgent care, behavioral health and dermatology.

MDLIVE doctors can treat many medical conditions, including:

  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Allergies
  • Pink eye
  • Respiratory infections
  • Sinus problems
  • Skin conditions

If you provide consent, MDLIVE can pass on information about your visit to your PCP.

Set up your account at myCigna.com or call (888-726-3171). You choose the time that works for you: pick as soon as possible or schedule a same-day or next-day appointment.

Virtual Visits (PEHP)

The PEHP also covers virtual visits when you see a physician who is not in the MDLIVE network.

  • For the PPO, you’ll pay your regular office visit copay (for Tier 1 and Tier 2), which differs depending on the tier of your doctor.
  • For the HDHP, you’ll pay the full cost of care (at a contracted, negotiated rate) until you meet your deductible. After you meet your deductible, you’ll pay your regular office copay or coinsurance which differs depending on the tier of your doctor.
