Whom You Can Cover

This section describes who may participate under your Parkland benefits. For most plans, if you enroll, you may cover yourself and eligible family members, as described in the Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) or plan documents in the Legal Notices section.

You may choose to cover your eligible family members under the medical, dental, vision and AD&D plans that you choose for yourself. Eligible family members may also receive benefits for supplemental life insurance. Eligible family members are automatically covered under the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

For the PEHP: If you and your spouse are both employed by Parkland, you can each cover yourself as an employee, or one of you can be covered as an employee and enroll the other as a spouse. Only one of you can cover your dependent children.

If you have questions, contact Shared Services at 469‑419‑3000 (ext. 7-3000).

Dependent Eligibility Documentation Requirements

As part of the dependent eligibility verification process for the medical, dental and vision plans, you will be required to submit supporting documentation to prove your relationship to each dependent.

Watch your mailbox for a packet with details on the Dependent Eligibility Verification process. If you do not complete this process, your dependent(s) will be dropped from coverage.
