Health Information Line

Need a quick answer to a health issue? The free Health Information Line gives you 24-hour access to a nurse advocate. This benefit is provided at no cost to you and your dependents who are enrolled in the Parkland Employee Health Program (PEHP).

Why Call Cigna’s Health Information Line?

You might call the Health Information Line for the following reasons:

  • It’s midnight, and your child has a fever and a rash. How should you treat it?
  • After dinner, you have bad stomach cramps. Should you wait and call your doctor in the morning or head to the ER?
  • You’re feeling nervous about an upcoming surgery and wondering what to expect.
  • You just got a diagnosis and you still have questions.

For medical emergencies, call 911. The 24/7 Health Information Line is not a substitute for a doctor’s care. Talk to your doctor about any health questions or concerns.

Call Cigna at 800-247-4433 and ask for the 24-hour Health Information Line.  You can talk to a nurse advocate 24/7. You can chat with a nurse advocate Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Central time, excluding holidays, via myCigna.com or the myCigna® app.
